Longtime Orange County resident Armand Assante will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Golden Door International Film Festival in Jersey City, N.J.
The ceremony will take place Thursday at the festival's opening ceremony at the Landmark Loews Jersey Theater. The film "The ~ Fix," which stars Assante, will screen after the ceremony.
Assante has won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie (1997, "Gotti") and has been nominated for four Golden Globes.
"I am especially proud to be among my colleagues who have distinguished themselves ink in a time that is unquestionably the most radical transition the entertainment world has known," Assante said.
The Golden Door International Film Festival runs Oct. 10-13 in Jersey City.
